The asylum procedure

Applications for asylum are accepted and processed by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF). The asylum procedure in Germany is made of five steps: arrival and registration, personal application, examination of competence according to the Dublin procedure, personal hearing and decision of the authorities.

More detailed information on these steps will be presented by BAMF in the following film and the accompanying brochure.
